1st August, 2014 - adaptation of the „Our ABC” textbook for pupils with special educational needs

Under commission of Ministerstwo Edukacji Narodowej Section for Sign Linguistics has developed the adaptation of the first part of „Our ABC” textbook for pupils with special educational needs, including deaf children who use PJM. All the texts in „Our ABC” have been rendered in PJM and incorporated into dedicated multimedia app attached to the textbook in the form of DVD disc.

From 15th -19th July, 2014 – EURALEX congress

At the 16th meeting of EURALEX International Congress held from 15th -19th July, 2014 in Bolzano, Italy the members of our Section has presented the paper "Corpus-based Dictionary of Polish Sign Language (PJM)" produced by Jadwiga Linde-Usiekniewicz, Małgorzata Czajkowska-Kisil, Joanna Łacheta, and Paweł Rutkowski.

From 20th-23rd June, 2014 – RaAM conference

From 20th -23rd June, 2014 at Univercity of Cagliari in Italy the 10th edition of RaAM - Researching and Applying Metaphor conference entitled "Metaphor in communication, science and education" has been held. During the meeting the speech "The iconicity of the time-line metaphor in Polish Sign Language (PJM): A corpus-based study" has been delivered.

From 9th -10th June, 2014 – FEAST conference

In the course of this year’s FEAST - Formal and Experimental Advances in Sign Language Theory conference which took place from 9th -10th June, 2014 at The University of Venice in Italy a speech on PJM research has been presented.
