3-4 December, 2011 - conference on Polish Sign Language interpreting

Report from the Association of Polish Sign Language Interpreters website:

From 3-4 December 2011 the Association of Polish Sign Language Interpreters organized historical (being the first in Poland) conference on Polish Sign Language interpreting. Among the guests there were both theoreticians and practitioners of interpreting. Due to dramatic deficit of the interpreting services of this kind on the sellers’ market and because of the deepening awareness of rendering skills of interpreters, the conference was a sore need and the prominent step towards the change of a PJM interpreter’s image.
Among many other speakers there were PLM associates - prof. Marek Świdziński, Małgorzata Czajkowska-Kisil, Agnieszka Laskowska-Klimczewska, Joanna Łacheta and Aleksandra Kalata-Zawłocka.
